National PB Day!

Happy National Peanut Butter Day!!

I cannot believe I am not more prepared to celebrate this day!  I LOVE peanut butter!  It is a delicious and versatile condiment to add protein and flavor to any savory or sweet dish. Plus this is my brother-in-laws favorite addition to any meal (mostly just spread over a piece of dark chocolate).  So I dedicate this post to him and all things wonderfully delicious about peanut butter!!  Happy Peanut Butter Day Michael!

And rememeber to check your labels as you are enjoying your peanut butter.  Most peanut butters are FULL of excess sugar that is just unnecessary!  So save yourself the added calories or just the grams of sugar and make sure you buy a peanut butter that is simply peanuts and salt (in the ingredient list).  All peanut butters will register SOME sugar on the nutrition label (because peanuts are naturally sweetened) but then why do you need extra sugar added????? Make sure your ingredient list is JUST peanuts and salt (if you like it salted).  You'll thank me later!

Since I  am unprepared with an awesome new recipe, (big surprise...life just needs to slow down and give me a few more hours each day...) I honor today with some of my past peanut butter recipes with a few from my favorite blogs that I can't wait to try....enjoy!
